Results from the UK National Championships, held this week in Bournemouth (and one of the most prestigious in the world) are now up.

Sergey and Melia take third in Latin!!! Woo hoo! They must have been so happy! And I’m so happy for them!
Slavik and Hanna didn’t do so hot though — they received a disappointing 6th place. Oh well, better next time.
Other placements were predictable:
Poland’s Michael Malitowski and Joanna Leunis first in Latin, our Riccardo Cocchi and Yulia Zagoruychenko in second. And in Standard (which the UK calls “Modern”): Italy’s Mirko Gozzoli and Alessia Betti took the championship, our Arunas and Katusha placed second, and England’s Jonathan Wilkins and Hazel Newberry third.
I wasn’t able to go of course (or I would have live-blogged — and why didn’t anyone 🙁 ) but here are some pics of some of the couples that I took at Blackpool last year: (I’m really liking this new WP captioning function!)

I can’t believe some of last night’s Latin contestants are actually performing in NY tonight! Something I don’t think I could ever do … but that’s the diff between a pro and moi 🙂
