Last night I posted via mobile that Max and Yulia won National Latin but apparently it didn’t go through. Anyway, we have new national Latin champs — Max and Yulia!!!! Yay! Delyan and Boriana came in third — which was awesome for them; obviously Andrei and Elena (now former champs) came in second, and I correctly predicted that Vaidotis Skimelis and his partner took Pasha and Anya’s old spot — they came in fifth. Anna Trebunskaya from Dancing With the Stars and her partner Pavlo placed sixth. Certainly if Pasha and Anya were still competing, they’d have moved up in the ranks. But they are on to bigger and better things 🙂

What I really want to know is – are Pasha and Anya a real couple ? They both say no, but there are some things that point towards yes: he was noticeably somber after she left SYTYCD, he used her dress in one of his solos, she was with him when he did one of his post elimination interviews. Plus the after party pics on MySpace, they looked awfully cozy dancing together. I know it’s not my business, but I’d love to know the real story there.
Hi Esme — I always wondered that too, and honestly used to ask around at the studio! I know they’ve known each other since they were children and are therefore extremely close. Someone told me they were a couple at one point but decided to see other people. That’s hearsay, because I never came right out and asked Pasha — but that’s what I was told by a friend at the studio! They are definitely very close friends though.
Thanks for the reply Tonya. Maybe this will quiet the people who post on other forums that Pasha is gay. Even after you addressed that issue in another blog, it still won’t die. I don’t get it.
